CURRENT WORKSHOP "INTRODUCTION - PAINTING WITH TEXTURES" MONDAYS, AUGUST 21 & 28, 2017 - INFORMATION BELOW
"INTRODUCTION TO PAINTING WITH TEXTURES"
So you've started painting and now you want to give your artwork a little PIZAZZ! That's what this is all about - taking your painting to the next level. In this Workshop you will learn how to work with different mediums to create something special.
WHAT ARE TEXTURES AND HOW DO THEY WORK? We will focus on the bare surface; what is the best surface and why.
WHICH TEXTURES TO USE TO GET DIFFERENT RESULTS - We will take different media and learn about how they work. We will apply those mediums to our surfaces and experiment
LEARN ABOUT COMBINING DIFFERENT MEDIUMS WITH RANDOM TEXTURES - Once you have learned about the mediums and how to use them, we will combine them with other textures, such as paper, scraps of textiles and other items.
PAINTING ON THE CREATION - You will finalize the Workshop by adding color to your art and learning how the paint reacts with the textures.
YOU WILL BE YOUR OWN CREATIVE FORCE! Going from the beginning and adding levels of textures along with technique, you will create your own texture board/canvas.
